Description: Moorhouse Construction has been awarded the new Texas State Veterans Home in Mc Allen, Texas. This 16 month project is slated to open in March of 2005. The project scope includes a total living space of 81,000 SF of functional living space. This ìCoastal Lodgeî feeling residential home houses 160 beds with a dedicated number for Alzheimer care patients in a separate, secure wing. The buildings exterior has a covered porch area for relaxing and therapy. Additionally, large windows, wood timbers and maple woodwork enhance the feeling of being home.
